Yin Yoga

Ahhh! Lions do yoga, so can you. The practice of yin yoga is a sequence of long-held passive postures that nourish our body’s connective tissue. As postures are held the sensation moves deeper into the body, allowing for profound release. The practice of yin can quiet the mind, heal injuries and infuse the body with a calm energy.  Think slow, softening, deepening, melting….Poses are held anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes. This two hour practice will include a gentle warm-up, a full yin practice and a long savasana.

Restorative + Yoga Nidra

Restorative Yoga is one of the gentlest forms of practice. By using props to hold the body in long, passive postures you get a uniquely restful experience.

Yoga Nidra is a meditative practice. The practitioner is guided to move awareness through different points of the body, ultimately bringing the mind inward. Often translated as yogic sleep this practice is deeply relaxing, and replenishing.

We will begin with Restorative and follow with Yoga Nidra.
