Class Descriptions

Strength and Grace:

This class is for yogi(ni)s who want to expand their practice to the next level.  A moderately paced class that highlights personal alignment. We use movement (vinyasa) to boost grace, balance and confidence in the body;  sustained holds to gain strength and flexibility; and pranayama to facilitate tranquility, mental clarity, focus and the movement of prana.

Deep Stretch:

This slower paced class focuses on stretching and allows the body to release areas of tension and relax.  We use both passive and active postures to nurture and expand flexibility. All levels.

Gentle Yoga:

This class focuses on developing heightened body awareness and learning basic alignment principles.  We use a functional approach to yoga to  build strength and flexibility.  A well-rounded practice to suit all levels.

Gentle Yoga Flow:

Experience mindful movement.  This class focuses on the postures and the movement we take between the postures.  Learn how to transition gracefully and effectively.

Yin Yoga:

Yin yoga is a slow-paced passive practice that focuses on nourishing the connective tissue in the joints, and releasing constrictions in the fascia to allowing prana or energy to move more efficiently through the body.  Seated and supine postures are held for 3-5 minutes.

Location

River Street Dance Theater is a spacious, beautiful, sunlit building located at 421 N 2nd Street in Hamilton, Montana.

Weekly on-going classes

  • $15 per single class
  • $12 per class for 4-7 classes per month
  • $11 per class for 8 or more classes per month
  • No one turned away!  Reduced rates available for those with financial limitations.
